Rick Kennemore's story:

1942 Hudson Commodore Eight Club Coupe-Serial # 2411453-condition 4

My first Hudson, I purchased it in 1998.  Even though I knew it would be rare being a '42 model, I bought the car because of its beauty.  Surface rusted and not running didn't detract from the lines of the body and all that shiny stainless and chrome.  It was not until I bought the car and joined HET that I discovered just how rare the Eight coupe is.

I have just started restoring the car.

1942 Hudson Super Six Sedan-Serial # 213679-condition 4 I first saw this car at the 1999 Nationals in Nashville.  John Clement was  offering the car for sale.  Somehow I managed to go the entire week without buying the car but not a day went by without taking a hard look at it.  I later contacted John and purchased it. It would have been much easier had I gone ahead and bought the car in Nashville (only 2 miles from my house).  But, John was good enough to meet me in Mena, AK with it, reducing a two day trip into one.  (Thank you, John)
